Hey there! In this guide, I’ll show you how to download and correctly configure the TVMate app on your Amazon Fire Stick or Android TV. If you’re not familiar with it, TVMate is one of the best IPTV player applications you can use in 2025.

Let’s get started and walk through the simple process of getting it onto your device.

Step 1: Install and Configure the Downloader App

The first step is to get the “Downloader” app on your Fire Stick. If you already have it, you can skip ahead. We also need to enable a quick setting on your device to allow installations from outside the Amazon App Store.

1. From your Fire Stick home screen, click the magnifying glass icon to open the search function.
2. Using the on-screen keyboard, type downloader. You’ll see the app appear in the search suggestions.
3. Select it and download it to your device.

Once Downloader is installed, it’s not quite ready. We need to configure it.

Configuring Downloader (Enabling Developer Options)

1. Navigate back to the home screen and go to Settings (the gear icon).
2. Scroll down and select My Fire TV.
3. If you don’t see Developer Options in this menu (it’s often hidden on newer devices), you need to enable it:
   • Select About.
   • Click on Fire TV Stick.
   • Rapidly press the middle button on your remote 7 times. You will see a message that says, “You are now a developer.”
4. Go back to the My Fire TV menu. You will now see Developer Options. Open it.
5. Turn ON the “ADB Debugging” option.
6. Next, go to Install Unknown Apps.
7. Find Downloader in the list and turn its switch ON. This permits Downloader to install apps from the internet.

Now Downloader is set up. Let’s go back to our app list and open it. But before we proceed, there’s one more crucial step I always recommend.

Step 2: (Highly Recommended) Connect to a VPN

Step 3: Use Downloader to Install TVMate

Now, let’s safely use Downloader to install TVMate.

1. Open the Downloader app from your app list.
2. In the URL field, enter the following address: tvmate.com
   • Please type it carefully to avoid any errors.
3. Click Go.

5. The official TVMate IPTV Player website will open. Scroll down a little until you see the “Download APK” button and click on it.
6. The download will start and typically takes only a few seconds.
7. Once downloaded, click Install and wait for the installation to complete.
8. After installation, do not click “Open.” Instead, press Done.
9. You will then be prompted to delete the installation file. Click Delete to remove this unnecessary file and free up valuable space on your Fire Stick.

Step 4: Locate and Set Up TVMate

You’re almost done! Return to your app list. You will find the TVMate app at the bottom.

For easy access, I recommend moving it to the front of your list:

• Highlight the TVMate app.
• Press the Options button on your remote (the one with three horizontal lines).
• From the menu, select Move to Front. This will keep it at the top of your app list.

Now, open TVMate. The setup is straightforward:

1. Click on the “Add a playlist” button.
2. The next steps depend on your IPTV provider. Since there are thousands of providers, the choice is yours. They will typically provide you with one of two types of access:
   • M3U Playlist: If your provider gave you an M3U URL, click on “M3U Playlist”. Then, click “Enter URL” and paste the link they provided. Click “Next”, and your live TV playlist will load into the app.
   • Extreme Codes (XC): If your provider uses this method, click on “Extreme Codes”. You will need to enter the server URL, username, and password provided by your service. Enter all the details and click “Next” to load your playlist.
